I was a journalist, my parents internationally recognized fine artists. At some point my interest in documentary photography gave way to my desire to make beautiful portraits and conceptual images. My interest in storytelling never waned but the desire to control style and context I inherited from my parents replaced my instinct to be an uninvolved observer. I think of myself as a creative professional. To me this means a person who is equally in touch with art and commerce, creativity and execution.
My best work takes something real - people, objects and ideas - and creates a beautiful, simple world. I tell stories for clients who want to talk about the humanity and the essence of their products or ideas.
Comfortable in a studio or on location, we solve problems and streamline our productions to make shoots easy on our clients. I am not a temperamental artist or lone gun. Collaboration with clients and a team of talented subcontractors means we are able to work on projects of any scale or complexity.
Often working with real people as subjects I have the relaxed but professional personality that is as easy to see in my work as it is behind the scenes.
